These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern all equipment rentals and website use between you ("renter") and Rent Wash Gear ("we," "our," or "us"). By reserving equipment, signing a rental agreement, or using this website, you agree to these Terms. A printed rental agreement reflecting these Terms is signed at pickup.

1. Rental Agreement Terms

Eligibility. Renters must be 18 or older and present a valid government-issued photo ID at pickup. Commercial accounts must designate an authorized representative.

Rental period. A daily rental is 24 hours from the recorded pickup time. A weekend rental is a 2-day block picked up Friday after 12:00 PM and returned Sunday by close of business. A weekly rental is 7 consecutive days. Rates and deposits are listed on our pricing page.

Payment. Rental charges are due at pickup unless a commercial account has approved billing terms. A refundable security deposit, as listed for each equipment category, is collected at pickup and released after return, minus any deductions described in these Terms.

Condition at pickup. Equipment is inspected and documented with the renter before it leaves our location. The renter accepts the equipment in the recorded condition unless a discrepancy is noted at that time.

Condition at return. Equipment must be returned reasonably clean and in the same condition as received, allowing for normal wear. Return is complete only after our staff performs the return inspection. Deposits are released following that inspection, typically within 3 business days.

2. Damage Waiver Terms

An optional damage waiver is available on every rental for 10% of the equipment rental subtotal (before delivery fees). The damage waiver must be accepted and paid at or before pickup; it cannot be added retroactively.

What it covers. The damage waiver covers the cost of repair or replacement for accidental damage during normal, intended use of the equipment — for example, a cracked fitting dropped on concrete, or a nozzle damaged during ordinary operation.

What it does not cover. The waiver does not cover: damage from negligence, misuse, or operation outside the manufacturer's instructions; theft or loss; damage while the equipment is loaned or sub-rented to a third party; damage from unapproved modifications or repairs; or damage caused while operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Without the waiver. If you decline the damage waiver, you are responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement for any damage beyond normal wear, up to the current replacement value of the equipment. Deductions will be taken from your security deposit, with any balance over the deposit billed to you.

3. Late-Return Fees

We include a 30-minute grace period after your scheduled return time. After that, the following fees apply:

If you know you'll be late, call us at (512) 555-0199 — we can often extend the rental at the standard rate and avoid late fees entirely. Equipment not returned within 7 days of the due date without communication may be reported as stolen.

4. Safety & Liability

Operator responsibility. The renter is responsible for operating all equipment safely and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and our pickup walkthrough. High-pressure washers, steam cleaners, and powered floor equipment can cause serious injury if misused.

Personal protective equipment (PPE). Renters must wear appropriate PPE when operating our equipment — at minimum, eye protection and closed-toe shoes for pressure washers; heat-resistant gloves for steam equipment; as directed for other categories. PPE requirements are reviewed at pickup.

Prohibited uses. Equipment may not be: operated by anyone under 16; used while under the influence of drugs or alcohol; modified, disassembled, or repaired by anyone other than our technicians; loaned, sub-rented, or taken outside the greater Austin area without our written approval; or used for any unlawful purpose.

Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by Texas law, Rent Wash Gear is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from equipment use, including damage to property being cleaned (for example, paint, siding, or surfaces damaged by improper pressure selection). Our total liability for any rental is limited to the rental charges paid for that rental. Renters should verify that the selected equipment is appropriate for their surface and project — and ask us when in doubt.

5. Reservations and Cancellations

Reservations are confirmed when we contact you to confirm availability. Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before pickup with no charge. Cancellations within 24 hours of pickup may incur a fee of up to 25% of the rental rate, at our discretion. No-shows may be charged the full daily rate.

6. Website Usage Terms

This website is for informational and reservation-request purposes. Content on this site is provided "as is" for general information only; it does not constitute professional, legal, or safety advice. We may update content, rates, and availability without notice.

You may not: copy or scrape site content for commercial redistribution without permission; attempt to disrupt the site's operation; or use the reservation form to submit false or misleading information. All site content, including text and graphics, is the property of Rent Wash Gear unless otherwise noted.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
