Match the system to the house: compact kits for single-story homes, pro rigs with dual batteries for two-story roofs and large siding jobs. If you are torn between soft washing and blasting, read gas vs. electric pressure washers and renting vs. buying to understand where each method belongs.

For hard surfaces that can take pressure — driveways, sidewalks, and patios — our pressure washer rentals are the right tool, with surface cleaners for streak-free concrete. Many customers rent both: soft wash the house and roof, pressure wash the driveway, in one weekend.

Rental Workflow

Ten steps to a safely soft-washed home:

  1. Reserve. Book online, call (512) 555-0199, or walk in. Tell us your home's stories and square footage so we size the pump and chemistry.
  2. Pick up & check in. Bring a valid photo ID and a card for the refundable $100 deposit. The full kit fits in a pickup bed or large SUV.
  3. Safety walkthrough. We prime the pump with you, demonstrate the proportioner settings, and review the critical safety points: full PPE (gloves, splash goggles, respirator), ladder stabilizer use, and never walking a wet treated roof. Read the manual's safety section first.
  4. Protect plants and pets. Pre-wet all landscaping, cover beds near the work zone with the included tarps, and keep pets indoors until rinsed and dry.
  5. Mix and test. Mix per the chart for your surface, then test on an inconspicuous area. Adjust the metering tip if the mix is too strong or weak.
  6. Apply bottom-up, rinse top-down. Spray solution from the bottom up to avoid streaking, let it dwell 10–15 minutes (never let it dry on the surface), then rinse from the top down.
  7. Clean the gutters. Scoop heavy debris, flush toward downspouts with the gutter wand, and clear clogs with the flush bag — all from ladder height with the stabilizer bar, or from the ground with the GutterVac.
  8. Final rinse. Rinse all plants, windows, and adjacent surfaces thoroughly. Remove tarps and give landscaping one more soak.
  9. Flush the system. Run clean water through the pump and hose for two minutes, rinse the tank, and coil hoses. Two minutes protects your deposit.
  10. Return & inspection. Return by 6:00 PM on your due date. We inventory wands, nozzles, and safety gear with you, then release the deposit hold — usually within 1–2 business days.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is soft washing, and how is it different from pressure washing?

Soft washing uses low pressure (under 500 PSI) plus specialized detergents to clean, while pressure washing relies on high-pressure water alone. Soft washing is safer for roofs, siding, and stucco because it cleans without forcing water behind materials or stripping surfaces.

Can I soft wash my own roof safely?

Many homeowners do, using extension wands from the ground or a ladder with proper fall protection. Never walk on a wet, chemical-treated roof. Our rental includes safety guidance and we recommend reading the manual and wearing all provided PPE before starting.

Are the cleaning chemicals included in the rental?

Yes. Every soft-wash rental includes 5 gallons of house-wash concentrate and 2 gallons of roof treatment, enough for a typical single-story home. The chemicals are pre-measured with mixing instructions, and extra jugs are available at the counter.

Will soft washing kill my plants or harm pets?

The detergents can damage vegetation if left on foliage. That is why we include plant-protection tarps and a rinse protocol: pre-wet plants, cover beds near the work area, and rinse everything thoroughly after. Keep pets indoors until surfaces are rinsed and dry.

How do the gutter attachments work?

The gutter kit includes a curved extension wand that hooks over the gutter lip and a high-flow nozzle that blasts debris toward the downspout, all from ladder height or the ground with the telescoping pole. A downspout flush bag clears clogs without disassembly.

What deposit is required for soft-wash gear rental?

A refundable $100 deposit is held on a credit or debit card at pickup with a valid photo ID. The hold is released after the return inspection, usually within 1–2 business days depending on your bank.
